ENOLA HOLMES (2020)

When Enola Holmes, Sherlock's sister, discovers her mother is missing, she endeavors to find her, becoming a super-sleuth in her own right as she outwits her famous brother and unravels a dangerous conspiracy. From the start, this Enola Holmes movie offers something different than other mystery or feminist films. Since the first act, this movie has depicted the breaking of stigma and discrimination against women at that time.

Enola Holmes is a movie with adventure, drama, and mystery genres. It is both a mystery and an adventure movie. Even so, the problem solving of this movie is very different from other mystery genre movies, this movie presents the message in a very light and 'polite' way.

Millie Bobby Brown : The acting was very well done and charming. There were a lot of good moments and some beautiful shots. Millie Bobby Brown is solid in her role. Also, the fight scenes were well executed. The supporting cast was largely excellent. 

Louis Partridge's role as Tewkesbury in movie Enola Holmes: Charming and clumsy: Partridge's character is charming and clumsy. Wise beyond his years: One reviewer described Partridge as wise beyond his years. Partridge first gained the world's attention for his role in Enola Holmes when he was 16 years old.

Bad parts :

1. the movie's depiction of its historical context is questionable. The setting of this movie depicts the patriarchal system that was still very strong in England in the 19th century, but some women are depicted as occupying significant jobs and Independent women consept.

2. loses its appeal to Sherlock Holmes fans because the characters were changed to fit the story The reason is because the figure of Sherlock in Enola Holmes has a different character development from the original figure of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. In Enola Holmes, Sherlock is told to be a warmer figure and very different from the original figure in the original story.

Favorite part :

The thing the film does best is offer an inspiring story for young girls of today. Enola is a light-hearted, playful young person who walks to the tune of her own drum and spends the hours of her life indulging in educating herself and taking joy in anything she chooses, never considering that she should behave any differently from a boy. This is a film that contrasts greatly with the abundance of media available to children that massively communicate gender stereotypes.

Overall  opinion :

Enola Holmes, a fantastic film., The supporting cast was largely excellent. But, the writing came up short. The beginning was one long voiceover and rather dull. Enola's looks at the camera were fun but too much of the story was told that way.
