the wizard of, fantastic fantasy film

THE WIZARD OF OZ (1939)

The Wizard of Oz is a 1939 American mussycal fantasy film adaptation of L. Frank Baum's 1900 children's fantasy novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The film is known for its use of Technicolor, fantasy storytelling, musical score, and memorable characters. Judy Garland's portrayal of Dorothy, Dorothy's oddball Oz friends, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", and the rest of this fine production of "The Wizard of Oz" have lost little of their magic over the years. While it has become oddly fashionable in recent years to deride this kind of classic, innocent fantasy, the movie itself has aged very well, and it is likely to retain an appreciative audience for some time to come.

The main character at the center is judy garland, she plays dorothy who has the character of a 12-year-old child, while judy garland at that time was 16 years old. She can portray the character well, especially when singing, judy has a beautiful voice that is very pleasant to hear.

about Dorothy G Gale who lives in Kansas and she lives with her uncle and aunt but she doesn't like her life so she Stress feels not considered so she wants to go to a new world that is different that is beautiful and it turns out that her dream is realized with a hurricane that brings her home she is stranded in a fairyland that is so beautiful but After arriving in the fairyland she even wants to return to her old home in Kansas so she has to meet the wizard of Oz to ask for her request to be able to return to Kansas.

During his journey to the Emerald City to meet the great wizard of he met the brainless scarecrow he met the heartless Tin Man he met the cowardly Lion who had no courage and finally our three main Central characters that you might be able to see in this poster together with doroti to go to the Emerald City yes they both want to be granted

The request is to get the brain, get the heart and get the courage, the story is as simple as that, but the unique thing is that even though this is just a children's fairy tale with a very light impression, this movie is really made to the maximum, the execution is extraordinary in the story of the moral message.

Bad part : makeup for Tin Man who used aluminum powder make an artist get an allergic Buddy Ebsen was originally cast as the Tin Man in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, but was replaced by Jack Haley

Favorite parts :

1. Somewhere Over the Rainbow – Easily the most beautiful and enduring song from the film, it’s simply sung masterfully by the little voice of Judy Garland. How her little voice transforms into this rich singing contralto is beyond me but ears in general are just better off for it.

2.
The transition from black and white to color: One of the most memorable sequences in The Wizard of Oz is the transformation from sepia-toned monochrome to vibrant color, as Dorothy leaves her transported farmhouse to enter Oz's fantastical realm.

Overall opinion : You should never believe that this movie is from the 30’, You should never believe that The effects and music fit in the film. It deserve the 2 Academy Awards it has won for Original Song and Best Music. I found the film pretty funny with all the different character. This is one of the best films from the 30's. You can say many things about "The Wizard from Oz" but this film will never die.

Score : 9.7/ 10
